Xperia Sola With Floating Touch Display Announced
Sony unveiled array of Xperia series Smartphones at MWC 2012. Now they have come up with another Xperia variant with some out-of-the-world technology installed in it. This newbie is named as Xperia Sola and it will feature what Sony calls “floating touch display”. Read below to know more about this technology.
Sony Xperia Sola will feature almost similar specifications to that of Xperia P and Xperia U. It will feature unique display centered design with Reality Display feature. It will also feature Bravia Engine to provide world-class viewing experience. A 5 megapixels HD camera on back will allow you to capture high definition videos and photos. It will be running on Android 2.3 but an upgrade has been lined up somewhere in Q2 2012.
Now about its unique floating touch display. As Sony claims you can scroll through the list on a webpage by just moving your fingers few millimeters above Xperia Sola’s 3.7 inch display. Yes! you don’t have to touch it but just move your fingers in air. A 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM will be supporting this unique technology. To store your videos and pictures, Sony has offered 8 GB of internal memory.
In terms of connectivity, Xperia Sola will sport 3G support, 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot technology and Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR. And with NFC support, this Smartphone will be able to feature Sony SmartTags. Here is a video explaining features of Xperia Sola.
Clearly with “Sola”, Sony is eyeing greater market share in coming quarters of 2012 and with this revolutionary technology company might even earn it!
