Samsung Launches 10.1-inch Galaxy Note – Review And Tech Specs
The days are long gone when you had to purchase a tablet if your needs were tablet specific and you wanted all its functionalities in your pocket! With Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung has bridged the gap between smart phones and tablets as this delicate piece of work has adapted features from both tablets as well as smart phones. The first “Note” device was first spotted back in September and since then it came under intense reviews. The device had a 5.3-inch display and a 4-inch tall S-Pen stylus which was a must while taking notes. The size in which Samsung choose to launch the first “Note” device was a point of debate but no doubt it created its own niche in smartphone market.

Now with Galaxy Note tab 10.1, Samsung has sought to revive same old magic it created with all its Galaxy devices back in the year 2011. The device carries a big screen which makes it even easier to take notes and draw things all over it than its predecessor.
The Samsung Note 10.1 sports usual slim body for which all Samsung devices are known. The device carries a glossy back panel and button-less front panel. The device is programmed to work with a pressure sensitive S-Pen stylus. The Galaxy Note 10.1 also features the same S-Note software and a special Adobe image editing software. The stylus is very easy to use and to the convenience of users, much responsive making it easy to draw things or scribble the notes on the screen. Before diving into detailed review of features, let us first see its technical specifications.

As the name implies, this Note newbie features a 10.1-inch display giving resolution of 1280x800px (WXGA). The tablet-cum-smartphone has a 3MP camera at its back (although we don’t know why would you need a rear camera for tablet) and a 2MP camera for video calling.
Performance wise Galaxy Note 10.1 did not leave much impression on our mind. Though it runs on Android Ice-Cream Sandwich, we noticed a lag while navigating through applications. But that is no reason that we should criticize the tablet as this is just a preview of what we can expect from actual product.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor accompanied by 1GB RAM. Three versions of Samsung galaxy Note 10.1 will be available depending on the memory, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The Galaxy Note 10.1 will hit the market in second quarter of 2012.
With this newbie, Samsung is gearing up to take on possibly the most powerful tablet expected this year, Apple iPad3. As per recent updates we have received, Apple has invited press to attend “a special event”, which will take place on 7th March.
