Ultrabooks Revealed at CES 2012 [updating]
Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a platform for worldwide manufacturers to showcase what they have got under the hood. Ultrabooks has been hot trend for market since couple of months. Big manufacturers like Dell, Acer and others have revealed their upcoming Ultrabooks through CES 2012. We are expecting more stunning designs from rest of manufacturers to get revealed. Here are some of Ultrabooks revealed at CES 2012 till day.
HP Envy 14 Spectre
HP Spectre is first ever most glass covered notebook presented in market. Out of all those pupils turning ultrabooks revealed at CES 2012, HP Spectre is the sexiest and attractive one so far. Though most of surface is of glass, thanks to Gorilla, Envy 14 Spectre is claimed to be scratch resistant. This newbie is lighter and thinner than ordinary notebooks but heavier and thicker than 13-inched Ultrabooks revealed till before CES. It features Beats Audio, backlit keyboard and 14-inch HD LED display. Anatomy of Envy 14 Spectre comprises of Core i series processor and SSD of 128 GB capacity. It will be available in Q1 2012 for price tag of $1,399.

Acer Aspire S5 and Acer Timeline Ultra
Acer Aspire S5 is thinner and lighter than its elder brother Acer Aspire S3. Acer Aspire S5 features magnesium chassis promising weight lesser than 3 pounds. Though there is no exact news about specs of this portable, it is expected to feature new Ivy Bridge processors. It features HDMI, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt ports that are present on backside under soft motor driven cover, which they call MagicFlip.
Acer’s well-known Timeline series has been modified to fit into Ultrabooks category and features almost similar features as that of Aspire 5. However, Timeline Ultra looks a little bigger than usual Ultrabooks with their 14-inch and 15-inch models. Once available for review, we would update readers with its features and price.
Dell XPS 13
In the rush of Ultrabooks in last year, Dell was not seen active. At CES 2012, Dell has officially unveiled its first Ultrabook named XPS 13. In terms of Ultrabook features, XPS 13 is not an extraordinary portable. It features backlit keyboard, 13 inch screen, maximum of 256 GB SSD storage. System runs on processor from Core i7 family. First look of XPS 13 reminds us of Latitude series from Dell. Most attractive feature of XPS 13 will be its price. When available in market, it is expected to price under $1000. Is our dream of cheaper Ultrabooks coming true? We will get answer soon.
Lenovo ThinkPad T430U
Lenovo ThinkPad series is renowned for its durability, functionality and performance. Lenovo has made little modifications to form Hybrid design of ThinkPad; named T430U. This portable is purely business oriented. Though it is hard to match power and performance of business notebooks with that of ultrabooks, Lenovo has offered advanced Intel processor and optional nVidia graphics support. Fast booting and massive storage guaranteed, thanks to its hybrid combination of SSD and HD. It will available for $849 in Q2 2012.
