Toshiba Excite X10- Thinnest 10 inch Tablet In The World

On the closing day of CES 2012, Toshiba amazed world with thinnest tablet in the world named Toshiba Excite X10. The crown was held by Asus Transformer Prime, which is 8.3 mm in width. Toshiba Excite X10 is just 7.7 mm in width making it thinnest tablet in market yet.  In addition, it is lighter than Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighing below 1.2 pounds. This 10-inch tablet will be available in two alternatives viz 16 GB and 32 GB.

Toshiba Excite X10 is equipped with microUSB, microSD and microHDMI ports, which is quite justified considering size of the device. This tiny portable has built-in speakers that accompany with Toshiba’s SRS sound technology to provide thrilling audio experience. In terms of connectivity, Excite X10 supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Toshiba Excite X10 is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core OMAP 4430 processor  and 1 GB RAM making it powerful and intelligent for user’s needs. 10-inch display is IPS-enabled and boasts resolution of 1280 x 800. It is made up of scratch resistant Gorilla glass for saving your Tablet from mechanical injuries.

Considering its features and design, Toshiba has priced Excite X10 on higher side. 16 GB version is expected to cost you around $530 while 32 GB alternative will be available in $600. Toshiba will ship device in next couple of months. For similar or lesser price range, Tablets like Transformer Prime are offering better results. It will be interesting to see what response this tablet can get once released considering the price factor.
