Samsung To Launch Galaxy S2 Plus at MWC
It is now apparent that Samsung will not launch their new flagship device under galaxy series, the Galaxy S III during Mobile World Congress 2012, which will take place in Barcelona at the end of this month (27 Feb. to 1st March). Samsung officials revealed that Galaxy S III is still under review and observations and thus they are looking at it as a mid-year launch instead of launching it in haste. The latest rumors state that Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy S2 Plus at MWC 2012; if this news is indeed true, then we shall have to wait to get a glimpse of it for just two more weeks.
As for now, Galaxy S2 Plus is nothing more than a rumor and thus we have no clue about what Samsung intends to deliver with this fresh installment under Galaxy fleet. But leaked reports and pictures reveal that the S2 Plus looks pretty similar to Galaxy S2. Just like most of the Samsung devices, S2 Plus also uses Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread which comes as little disappointment as it isn’t even the latest version of Gingerbread let alone Android Ice-cream Sandwich. S2 Plus sports WVGA display but size is something which is yet to be confirmed whether its same 4.3 inches as its predecessor or bigger! The device is powered by 1.5 GHz dual core processor.

The whole concept of the device is likely to remain similar to it’s another upcoming family member, Galaxy S Advance. We are expecting some hardware improvements but considering that it is just a “Plus” version, we are in doubt what we will get. There are equal chances that this is nothing but another T-mobile variant of Galaxy S2. Keeping our fingers crossed on this one!
We are also interested in OS version Samsung is going to provide with this “Plus” variant of Galaxy series. If Samsung provides latest Ice-Cream Sandwich, good enough; if it doesn’t, well I will chuck the thought of S2 Plus. Amidst all the rumors Samsung is surely enjoying the customers attention towards the Galaxy platform.
