Samsung Galaxy SII To Get Ice Cream Sandwich Update in Next Month
Since the release of Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich, many Android device running on earlier version of Android has got unofficial ports to ICS. Time has come when manufacturers have started releasing update schedules for their Android devices. HTC announced last year that their Android devices will get updated to latest version of ICS later this year. However, Samsung has decided to roll out official ICS update for Samsung Galaxy SII in first week of March.

As covered by SlashGear, ICS 4.0.3 update will be released for Galaxy Note after that of SII. TO be more specific, as covered by author from SlashGear, the update will start rolling out after 1st March. As SlashGear has a reputation of posting about genuine reports, news of ICS update can be trusted.
The update is expected to release over the air or can be offered through KIES desktop software from Samsung. The update will be for worldwide version of SII. Samsung Galaxy SII running on wireless carriers in US might receive update few days later due to tendency of these carriers to roll updates slowly.
