It’s been few days now that Google has launched a service called “Schemer” in conjunction to already running Google Plus. Many of us must be wondering what exactly Google Schemer is? In this post we will try to understand basic concept behind it and if you are the one amongst the first 25 people commenting on this post, you will get an invitation too! Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Google Schemer is a new activity recommendation engine which will help people to discover, share and do much more in offline world. Activities or as Google calls them “Schemes” will be recommended to all users based on many factors like locations, past activities, users preferences and so on. The Schemer engine is integrated with Google’s existing social networking site Google Plus allowing users to search, add, save or invite their friends to join various schemes.

Google Schemer has tied up with various organizations including LifeHacker, Food Network, National Geographic, Bravo, Google’s own Zagat and the U.S. Department of the Interior to help users to get started right away. The Google Schemer is said to be its attempt to counter Facebook’s Events.

The web site will record all your past schemers and thus other schemers can learn from your past experience. Based on such things new schemers will be recommended to you. For the time being, only users with invitations can use the service. But as a technology related web site we had to get hands on experience of schemers.
