 YouTube is probably the most famous video-hosting site which has almost millions of videos stored in its database. Since Google bought YouTube for some huge amount, YouTube started gaining more and more fame; all thanks to Google’s marketing skills and innovative ideas.

Now I have seen many people searching internet to know “how to download YouTube Videos”. Even some of my friends keep asking me the same thing over and over again; so in this post, I am going to show “how to download YouTube videos either using software or a website”.

If you are surfing on internet and come across any video on YouTube which is all cool and then you want to download that video, what do you do then? Whatever might be the purpose, you try to download that video from YouTube but unfortunately by default YouTube doesn’t allow its users to download or save videos. Thus here we are with some tricks that will help you to download videos without any hassle.

Many third party software and websites have been developed for this purpose, but due to lack of space we shall look at few of them.

1. Download YouTube Videos online (Using a website)

Although you will find that there are hundreds of sites which can help you in downloading YouTube videos like downloadyoutubevideo.org, KeepVid.com and Saveyoutube.com, I am going to show you how to do it using a website which I use most and that is, KeepVid.com.

• First thing that you have to do is to go to the YouTube video which you want to download and copy the video link from address bar.
• Now go to http://keepvid.com/ and paste the video link in the given address space and click on the download button.
• Now as the plugin works on Java platform, it will load a java plugin from your computer and will prompt you to allow the action. Click on “Allow”.
• Once you have allowed the Java plugin loading, you will get a list of your video in different qualities.

• Click on any one of them and the video will get downloaded in your PC.

2. Download YouTube videos using software

Just like the websites, there are multiple freeware available which can help us in downloading YouTube videos. Some of them are Orbit download manager, YouTube Downloader etc.

• First of all, you need to download the software and install it. You can download YouTube Downloader here.
• After installing it on your computer, go to the video on YouTube, which you want to download and copy the video URL from address bar.
• Once you’ve procured link of the video, start the software and paste the link in “Video URL” column.
• After that you will be asked to select the quality of video and you will also be asked to provide the path to save the video in your computer.

• As soon as you press the download button, video will start getting downloaded.
• That’s it!
