Samsung Confirms Another Galaxy Variant – Galaxy S Advance (Tech Specs)
Few days ago, leading smart phone manufacturer Samsung added one more star in there already star-studded Galaxy series with the announcement of next version of Galaxy S under the name, Galaxy S Advance (GT-i9070). On the occasion, company officials said that this phone will be released in Russia first in February followed by Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Africa. However company kept mum on pricing factor in the press conference.
Galaxy S Advance is powered by 1 GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor and sports 4-inches WVGA Super-AMOLED screen (480 x 800pixels) for delivering great viewing experience. It is also equipped with a 5MP (2592 x 1944pixels) autofocus camera with LED flash capable of 720p recording and a secondary camera measuring 1.3MP. The phone provides you 16GB of in-built memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB with MicroSD card. Although Samsung has probably scored home-runs on all other departments, RAM memory failed to impress us as Samsung Galaxy S Advance carries only 768MB of RAM. This beauty from Samsung runs on Android Gingerbread (V. 2.3) OS.
In the connectivity segment, it supports 14.4 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, 2.0 micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. As we expected, this newbie has no support for 4G radio. Along with Gingerbread OS, Galaxy S Advance has full suite of Samsung’s apps at its disposal, which are available through ChatON services and its Hubs.
