How to Change Windows 7 Start Button
Got bored with the traditional Windows 7 start button? Feel free to change it the way you want. The Windows 7 start Button Changer is a free app that is dedicated to change your start button and deliver it a new and refreshing look.
Procedure to Change the Windows 7 Start Button
- Download Windows 7 Start Button Changer form the official website. It is a freeware. You don’t have to spend some penny for that.
- Run Windows 7 Start Button Changer.exe and install it in your ‘C’ drive of the computer.
- Then run the program from its own Program Folder.
- Before changing your start orb, create a system restore point. To do this, click on the ‘Restore Original Explorer Backup’. This will help you to restore your original configuration. As a result you can skip to this configuration at any time.
- Now open the application, and click on ‘Select and Change Start Button’.
- Once you select this, the program will open a list of icons from where you can choose the start icon that you like the most. Once selected the program will backup explorer.exe and swap the icon.
- Thus you get a brand new fashioned start button of your choice.
- But, if you dislike the change you may click on ‘Restore original Explorer Backup’. It will return your system to the original configuration.
- But if somehow the start button does not get changed, check whether the program is installed correctly in your ‘C’ drive or not. Also make sure the program is closed.
Manually run the explorer.exe as an administrator.
Then repeat the same above steps to change your start button.
You can also change the Windows Start Button manually without downloading any software. But this would require fiddling with the Windows settings. This method is not much recommended as it may lead to loss of data as well as crashing of the Operating System if not done by the hands of an expert.
