Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Annonced With Fascinating Features

Google today announced next version of Android code-named as Jelly Bean aka Android 4.1. With unveiled features, it has become quite clear that Google has fasten their belts to fly high alongside Apple’s iOS with their new version of Android Jelly Bean. Android Jelly Bean comes incorporated with Project Butter. This project has helped Google in efforts of making UI as smooth as possible. It makes use of VSync and Tripple Buffering to make animations smoother and also to provide consistent frame rate measuring 120 fps. As technicalities are not enough to clear out difference Project Butter has made in new OS, Google showed off its demo by comparing two devices of which one was running of Android ICS while other was running of Jelly Bean.

New home screen of Android Jelly Bean is intelligent. It automatically arranges icons placed out of order on home screen by aligning them properly. New keyboard in Jelly Bean is one of the prominent improvements. Keyboard develops itself with usage to suggest you next word while typing. You can even “type” with your voice and that too without any Internet support. It is now developed to support 18 new languages including Arabic and Hebrew.

Camera app now works faster in Jelly Bean with just two taps needed to share pics on social network. For quick photo shooting and review, it arranges all your pics in an array. Notifications have also improved with providing preview of content of new e-mails arrived. You can even customize notifications like when you get a missed call notifications, you can customize it to send a message or call back that person.

Android 4.1 voice assistant is more powerful compared to Siri in terms of accepting voice commands. It also solves general queries like “Who is president of Japan?”. Most attractive feature in Android 4.1 is Google Now. It makes use of resources provided by you like calender events, search history and use it to offer powerful information. For example, it will keep information about status of flight you have searched and will provide you notification as soon as that status changes. It can also keep track of news, scores and stuff realted to your favorite football club.
