Google Nexus 7- $199 Tablet Running Android Jelly Bean

Immedietly after unveiling Android Jelly Bean aka Android 4.1 to the world, Google also revealed first device running this new OS; a tablet named Nexus 7. As the name suggests, this tablet bears 7 inch screen and is manufactured by Asus. It is lighter and faster than most of the tablets in the world. Here are the specifications of Google Nexus 7 as described during Google I/O keynote.

Google Nexus 7 is powered by nVidia quad-core tegra 4 processor. Its 7 inch IPS display boasts resolution of 1280 x 800 and allows viewing from wide variety of angles. Google claims 10 hours of battery life while reading a book on Nexus 7. It weighs mere 340 gms and thus does not add any extra weight in your backpack.

Google Nexus 7 is priced at $199 with $25 credit for Google Play Store making it highly competitive for Nook and Fire. Credit allows you try out some paid apps on Play Store and also it brings down ultimate price of Nexus 7. All things kept apart, the main advantage of Nexus 7 over other tablets is its operating system. Android Jelly Bean in its purest form is faster and smarter. Also, it allows you access to all apps on Play Store unlike that of customized Android OS running tablets.

Purest form of Android also means full integration with Google services like Gmail and Google+. Now if you are an Android smartphone users, you can sync information of your Smartphone with Nexus 7; just like you can do with iOS running devices.
